Fighting The Dark

The Flatirons of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, trying to capture enough light to fight off the impending storm. As the season transitions, winter like storm clouds roll in from the west, while the sun lights up the foothills shortly after dawn.

Because, Colorado

Every state has its own beauty. But Colorado has an unfair share. About a year after moving here, I felt compelled to let everyone know how beautiful it was, and my words were certainly not doing it justice. So I took up photography as a hobby. This website is just another way for me to share the incredible things I encounter on a daily basis here in Colorado. Winding Down

This mountain lake is a place called Bear Lake. It is located in Rocky Mountain National Park. You should go there. Like now. OK, not right now, as soon as you check out the site. Don't hesitate. It'll make everything right in the world.

"Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean."

Standing Tall

The Flatirons, located in Boulder CO, are an impressive and overwhelming site. Especially when you are up close. But, step back a few miles, and see how they pale in comparison to Longs Peak. Towering over the Flatirons, over 14,000 feet tall. It is also the only "14er" located in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Dunes in Pink

Dunes in Pink

The sun sets at the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. Sand Dunes formed from the beds of dry lakes, and constant westerly winds pushing the sand against the Sangre de Cristo mountains.
